Social periphery and mobile social networks

Mobile changes the game. It enables the possibility to be always 'on'. Also with the implementation of GPS and other techniques that enables location based services there is an immense potential. It even becomes more a trend towards ambient computing. Mobile will become more and more important the next few years, however because it becomes more ambient we won't notice the increase in importance.

3Dphone Media Browser

3Dphone Media Browser is the first of three demo applications developed by TAT within the 3Dphone research project. This demo shows a wrapping 3D list based on an amphitheatre layout, which is suitable for mixing portrait and landscape images.

It is nice, however not really functional. Though not every that looks nice should be really functional. I like it, but I would also prefer a bit faster (more conventional...) way of navigation.

Augmented reality TV Show project

A demo from a TV Game Show based on Augmented Reality. The show it's call GPX and it's currently searching for investment or broadcasting.

It is nice, though watching how other people are using AR on TV is not really exciting. It could be an idea to extend the current format of The Phone (which not only shows in the Netherlands but also in 50+ other countries), to give the host some time off and to let the game run itself. However AR is the most fun when experiencing it by yourself.
